About the role
As our new Field Operations Manager, you’ll lead a team of technicians and coordinators responsible for installations, maintenance, site inspections, training, and stock deployments. While we’re a remote-first company, this role will require regular in-office presence. This role reports to the Director of Customer Operations.
We’re looking for someone with strong operational intuition, great leadership instincts, and a drive to build systems that scale. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to take ownership, grow with the company, and help shape the future of our operations.
Areas of contribution include:
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day field operations across DTC, B2B, and B2B2C segments.
- Lead a team of technicians and coordinators spanning two provinces in delivering high-quality installation and support services.
- Supervise site inspections, installations, technical training, and stock deployments.
- Work closely with various teams, including Customer Support and Firmware teams to solve field issues and improve product and service delivery through structured feedback loops.
- Implement systems and processes to enable traceable, measurable information flow between field ops and other teams.
- Report on key field metrics like maintenance callouts, operational costs, team capacity, and customer feedback.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, always seeking ways to improve efficiency and quality.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the field operations squad (e.g. resourcing, scaling, tooling).
- Act as an escalation point for complex field issues.
- Build a strong, motivated team culture based on accountability, initiative, and mutual care.
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- Any university degree.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A hands-on, get-things-done mindset.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environments and keeping a cool head in a crisis.
- Excellent communication and people skills—you’ll be managing a diverse team and interacting with customers.
- Willingness to get your hands dirty: from stockroom checks to on-site training, you’ll lead by example.
- Comfortable using (or learning to use) various tools for tracking work, reporting, and communication.
- Technical aptitude and systems thinking.
Even better if you have some of the following:
- Experience in a field-based or technical operations role, ideally with some team management.
- Exposure to customer-facing or client-facing work.
- Familiarity with work management platforms, CRM, or field service systems.
