Timing: Full-time role, starting as soon as possible. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

About the role

Your primary responsibility will be to plan, execute, and oversee mass deployments and/or installations of Plentify devices through the B2B channel or bespoke supply/install projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion within budget, schedule, and quality parameters. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. An understanding or experience with B2B sales and deployment processes and regulations in South Africa is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Upfront project planning:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, the baseline programme (roll-out schedule), key milestones and associated budget.
  • Identify and document project risks, including the mechanisms for regularly monitoring the associated risk mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder deliverable management:

  • Assemble and coordinate project teams, including subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for internal and external project stakeholders and assign and oversee the completion of key tasks accordingly.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Budget management:

  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to the approved budget. Flag key variances or shifts in project scope.
  • Alongside the Customer Operations team, identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.

Timeline Management:

  • Create and manage project schedules, tracking milestones and critical path activities.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate unforeseen changes or delays.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within the defined timeline.

Project Communication:

  • Establish project communication protocols and standards, including recurring project meetings, status update schedules, for internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and transparent communication with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide regular project updates and progress reports.

Project artefacts and documentation:

  • Build and maintain all required project documentation and artefacts from planning through to project completion phase.
  • Maintain accurate project records documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project records.

Reporting:

  • Manage all internal and external project reporting.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, flagging key risks, dependencies and overall progress.
  • Prepare monthly SteerCo packs for key B2B customers.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Technical qualification in Project Management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work well under pressure.
  • Project management, health and safety certification (e.g.CAPM, SACPCMP) is an advantage.
