OnePower (1PWR) is seeking a Mechanical Technician within the Production department with major role in fabrication and assembly of Manufactured Structural Steel components as well as maintenance and repair of assets (machinery and facilities).Key responsibilities but not limited to the following:

• Interpretation of dimensioned drawings
• Fabrication of parts and assemblies as per specifications
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and facilities as per prevailing/relevant industry standards
• Understanding of and adherence to Health and Safety standards
• Understanding of and adherence to quality assurance methods and techniques
• Participate in developing new fabrication processes and standard operating procedures

Required qualifications ,skills and competencies:
Diploma in Welding (Arc, MIG, TIG) or equivalent.
Fitting and Turning on a lathe and Milling on a milling machine
2- 3 years relevant experience
Hand tools (filing, tapping, grinding, cutting, drilling etc)
Strong team player skills across different cultures
Open-minded, self-driven and able to work independently
Microsoft windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good written and verbal communication skills in both Sesotho and English
