See open jobs at Mott MacDonald.See open jobs similar to "Finance Officer" Shortlist.- With support from the Operations Team and working with the Financial Support Services (FSC) – Ensure all vendors are on-boarded to the Accounts payables module in Connect Business.
- Ensure that accurate and complete information is provided to the FSC for capturing in the system and are supported by relevant documentation.
- Timely and accurate processing of allowance payments (DSA and transport reimbursements for activities to stakeholders, such as workshops, trainings, and meetings). This includes uploading transactions on e-banking and routing for approvals per Authority Level while ensuring all relevant documents are attached to support the payment being processed in line with Mott MacDonald internal control procedures and FCDO procedures.
- Maintain a systematic record of all financial transactions proceed both physical and electronically on SharePoint for easy retrieval or inquiry by all relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain a fixed regular schedule of payment runs involving uploading payments on e-banking and routing for approvals according to set standard in Mott Macdonald internal control systems.
- Posting of weekly cash uploads for transactions processed by LFT.
- With support from the operations team- Maintain a tracker of all obligations pending to Mott Macdonald and make weekly updates of payments made to clear those obligations, provide reasons for long outstanding obligations that are not cleared.
- Provide suppliers with payment remittance advices including details of which invoices have been paid, withholding tax deducted and conduct periodic review and reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Excellent knowledge in various accounting packages used for automated vendor payment processing.
- Excellent excel skills including advanced formulas and excel modelling.
- Very keen and attentive to detail and with high levels of accuracy in work produced.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chichewa.
- Good IT skills
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
Required academic/professional qualifications, training, and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/ ACCA/CIMA/ICAM Finalist/ or at studying towards CA qualification at final level.
- Not less than 3 years’ experience in a busy donor funded Nationwide project.
- Registered with Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi and the Malawi Accountants Board.
