What You'll Do
Reporting to the Head of Business Management, you'll translate complex data into clear, actionable strategy across competitive intelligence, pricing, partnership performance, and operational analytics. You'll lead the BI team and sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and analytics — supporting the senior leadership decisions that shape M-KOPA Ghana's market position and commercial growth.
Your Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis & Planning Support
Serve as analytical partner to the Head of Business Management and GM on strategic initiatives — competitive response, market expansion, product launches, and partnership evaluation
Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence — track emerging competitors, analyse their strategies, and recommend defensive and offensive moves
Lead business case development for new products, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives
Pricing & Revenue Optimisation
Own pricing strategy and optimisation across the product portfolio — smartphone financing, upgrades, and emerging products
Conduct margin analysis and profitability modelling to maintain healthy margin status
Track competitive pricing dynamics and recommend responsive adjustments
Partnership Performance & Account Management
Monitor and analyse partnership performance across telcos, OEMs, retail chains, and dealer networks
Build partnership scorecards and KPIs — tracking sales contribution, operational efficiency, and margin impact
Identify partnership optimisation opportunities and surface what's working, what isn't, and what needs fixing
Business Intelligence & Analytics Leadership
Own the analytical foundation for M-KOPA Ghana's entire business — lead the BI team to design, build, and maintain dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting infrastructure
Drive a data-driven decision-making culture — translating complex data into clear insights that non-technical leaders can act on immediately
Lead strategic transformation projects as assigned — market expansion, fraud prevention, process optimisation, and sales operations analytics
Your Environment 💼
Analytics tools: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar BI platforms
Data skills: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets, statistical analysis, financial modelling
Scope: Strategic and BI leadership for M-KOPA Ghana, with direct partnership to GM and Head of Business Management
Team: BI team leadership alongside cross-functional collaboration across sales, product, operations, and commercial
What You Need
4+ years of progressive experience in strategy, business intelligence, analytics, or management consulting, with a proven track record in high-growth commercial environments.
Required Experience:
Proven track record in data analytics within a commercial setting, working with dashboards and analytical frameworks
Strategic analysis experience supporting C-suite or senior leadership decision-making with data-driven recommendations
Financial modelling skills — business cases, ROI analyses, and scenario models that stand up to CFO scrutiny
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency and hands-on BI tool experience (building dashboards, not just consuming them)
Statistical analysis capability — regression, correlation, significance testing, and experimentation design
Cross-functional collaboration experience, influencing outcomes across departments through insights and analysis
