''This role offers the opportunity to translate commercial strategy into disciplined daily execution — directly coaching a team of Field Marketing Officers, driving territory sales performance, and ensuring strong customer experience across the Nairobi region. If you're a proven field sales leader who thrives on coaching others and owning results, this role is for you.''
About Us
M-KOPA's Mobility division is transforming urban transport by making electric motorcycles accessible and affordable for boda-boda riders through innovative financing solutions. We're scaling rapidly across Kenya, and this role sits at the heart of that growth — providing leadership oversight for Nairobi, including direct management of FMOs and indirect oversight of the DMR network. You'll work in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment where data integrity, field presence, and team capability are everything.
What You'll Do
Owning territory sales targets and driving quota delivery through a consistent execution cadence — daily/weekly stand-ups, end-of-day reviews, and weekly performance reporting
Directly managing and coaching Field Marketing Officers across Nairobi, with focus on volume, pipeline health, conversion, quality, and refurbished motorcycle sales
Driving execution of refurbished motorcycle sales plans by setting targets, activating partners, tracking pipelines, and resolving stock blockers with Operations and Inventory
Maintaining strong field presence through joint accompaniments during activations and partner engagements, modelling best-in-class customer engagement and objection handling
Building FMO capability in DMR management routines, field execution systems, and territory discipline
Protecting customer experience and portfolio health by enforcing Quality of Sale standards, documentation compliance, and onboarding discipline — including spot checks and audits
Gathering and sharing structured market intelligence on competitor activity, customer objections, and product gaps, and recommending territory expansion opportunities to leadership
Coordinating cross-functionally with Sales Operations, After-Sales, Credit/Collections, Inventory, and Marketing to resolve execution blockers and uphold data integrity through same-day reporting
This is an on-site role, you would be partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across Kenya. You will be reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager.
Expertise
Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in field sales and/or field marketing, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or team-lead capacity
A demonstrated track record of delivering commercial targets through team leadership, coaching, and disciplined execution routines
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking, reporting, and variance analysis, with a commitment to same-day reporting and data integrity
Nice to have: Experience in connected-asset financing, microfinance, or PAYG ecosystems; exposure to mobility, logistics, or last-mile sectors; familiarity with CRM tools and field execution systems; valid motorcycle riding licence
If the above is of interest to you, please apply.
