We are looking for a Sales Executive in Arua to drive sales performance, strengthen cluster productivity, manage stock accountability, and expand market presence.

This role offers the opportunity to lead sales teams on the ground, driving daily performance and building productive clusters that deliver consistent results. You'll provide leadership to DSRs (Direct Sales Representatives) and Cluster Leaders, coaching them to achieve sales targets while ensuring operational excellence and stock integrity. You'll work with talented cross-functional teams including Operations, Customer Care, and HR to maximize market share and deliver exceptional customer experiences across Uganda.

In this role, you would be responsible for:

Sales Performance Management

  • Driving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets across assigned clusters

  • Monitoring sales performance and implementing corrective actions to ensure target achievement

  • Preparing accurate sales reports and tracking KPIs including productive DSRs and clusters

Team Leadership & Development

  • Leading, coaching, and motivating DSRs and Cluster Leaders to maximize performance

  • Conducting regular field visits, joint selling sessions, and coaching interventions

  • Supporting recruitment and performance management activities

Stock Management & Accountability

  • Overseeing stock allocation, movement, reconciliation, and accountability across clusters

  • Managing ageing and slow-moving stock to minimize losses

  • Ensuring timely stock pick-up and preventing stock losses through disciplined tracking

Market Development & Expansion

  • Identifying and executing market development opportunities within assigned territories

  • Monitoring competitor activity and implementing effective counter-strategies

  • Growing market share through strategic expansion and disciplined execution

Customer Experience & Compliance

  • Ensuring strong customer experience and brand representation in the field

  • Handling escalations related to sales or service issues

  • Enforcing compliance with sales processes, ethics, and company policies

  • Supporting audits and maintaining accurate documentation

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborating with Operations, Customer Care, and HR teams to ensure integrated service delivery

  • Coordinating with support functions to resolve operational challenges

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales target achievement

  • Productive DSRs and clusters

  • Stock accountability and ageing levels

  • Market growth and expansion

  • Compliance and reporting accuracy

Your application should demonstrate:

  • 2-3 years of experience in sales leadership, field sales management, or team leadership roles

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

  • Experience leading, coaching, and motivating field sales teams

  • Strong understanding of stock management, inventory control, and asset accountability

  • Ability to conduct effective field visits, joint selling, and performance coaching

  • Market development skills with ability to identify opportunities and execute growth strategies

  • Analytical mindset with ability to track KPIs and implement data-driven corrective actions

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle escalations professionally

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in FMCG, fintech, telecommunications, or related industries is an advantage

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment with flexibility to travel within assigned territory

  • Results-oriented mindset with disciplined approach to execution

  • Knowledge of competitor landscapes and counter-strategy implementation

  • Proficiency in sales reporting and documentation

  • Commitment to compliance, ethics, and operational excellence
