We are looking for a Field Auditor - Kumasi/Accra, Ghana to join our Retail team as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.

As Field Auditor, you will work as the guardian of retail excellence, conducting rigorous audits across our shop network while analysing performance data, investigating variances, and working with teams to embed operational improvements that protect our customers and scale our impact across Ghana.

About Us

At M-KOPA, we've grown to serve 7 million customers across Africa, unlocking $2+ billion in cumulative credit for people who couldn't access financial services before. Our retail shops in Ghana are the last-mile access points where this happens—where customers build trust, where our agents deliver impact, where financial inclusion becomes real.

As we scale from 7 million to 10 million customers, retail excellence is non-negotiable. Every audit you conduct directly protects millions of customer transactions. Every variance you investigate, every fraud signal you catch, every process improvement you identify—these aren't just compliance tasks. They're the infrastructure that enables our customers' financial inclusion. You'll be setting the audit standards for Ghana that become our template as we expand, working with shop teams, warehouse staff, and leadership to ensure operational integrity that matches our mission.

If you believe that systems protect people, and that meticulous attention to detail can drive meaningful impact at scale, this is where your expertise matters most.

This is a (hybrid/on-site) role, you would be working from our offices in Ghana Office, partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe and Africa. You will be reporting to the Senior Retail Operations Lead.

Expertise

Our expectations are that you bring extensive progressive experience in stock management, inventory control, or operations auditing. You understand what operational excellence looks like, how to spot inefficiencies and fraud risks, and you're disciplined about compliance not because you're rigid, but because you know systems protect customers.

You're proficient in Excel and skilled at analysing audit data to produce clear, actionable reports that inform decision-making. You're comfortable working independently across multiple shop locations, managing your own schedule, and taking initiative when you identify issues. You communicate clearly with everyone—from shop agents to senior leadership and you're the kind of person who investigates root causes rather than just reporting problems.

If you thrive in roles where accuracy and attention to detail drive real outcomes, where you can see the direct impact of your work on customer protection, and where you're willing to balance rigorous compliance with respect for shop teams under pressure, you probably have what it takes to join us and shape retail excellence at scale.
