Accra, Ghana
Posted on Jul 2, 2025

We are looking for a Senior People Partner to join our Ghana leadership team as we drive our people agenda across Ghana while leading global people programming initiatives that scale across all M-KOPA markets.

As the Senior People Partner, you will serve as a strategic advisor to Ghana's leadership team while driving M-KOPA's talent strategy across all markets. Reporting to the HR Director for Markets, you'll partner directly with the Ghana General Manager and functional leaders to align people strategies with business priorities and market growth objectives.

This is a dual-impact role that combines deep local market expertise with global people excellence—offering you the opportunity to shape Ghana's growth trajectory while leading key people initiatives with significant autonomy and direct access to senior leadership. You'll design and implement talent strategies, drive organizational development, and build high-performance culture across our dynamic fintech environment.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity, offering the chance to directly influence M-KOPA's people excellence while building scalable people solutions that drive financial inclusion at scale.

About Us

At M-KOPA, we are committed to making everyday essentials accessible through flexible financing. As our Senior People Partner, you will play a critical role in enabling that mission by driving people strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent while building high-performance culture across our Ghana operations and beyond.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to Ghana's leadership team, tackling organizational challenges and delivering innovative people solutions that drive business performance. Your role spans talent excellence and organizational development, performance management, employee engagement, and complex change management initiatives.

You'll use people analytics to track key metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making. Your cross-cultural expertise and experience supporting distributed teams will be essential as you collaborate with global People team and regional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of people strategies.

This role is designed for a strategic people leader who is analytically strong, culturally aware, and passionate about building scalable people excellence. If you're ready to shape people strategies that drive both local and global impact in a business transforming lives across Africa, this could be your defining opportunity.

Expertise

We are looking for an accomplished people leader with 8-10 years of progressive HR experience and 4+ years partnering with senior leaders in fast-growth, complex organizations—ideally with cross-cultural expertise supporting distributed teams across multiple countries or regions.

You will bring:

  • Proven track record designing and implementing people strategies that drive measurable business results across local and global contexts.

  • Strategic and operational range—equally comfortable with long-term planning and hands-on execution, with strong business acumen to translate people priorities into business outcomes.

  • Exceptional coaching and advisory skills for leaders at all levels, with strong change management capabilities and ability to influence without authority.

  • Data-driven approach to decision-making with experience using people analytics to inform strategy and track performance.

  • Cross-cultural expertise supporting distributed teams across time zones, with experience creating and scaling people programs across multiple countries or regions.

  • Understanding of African labor practices and regulatory environments, particularly in Ghana and broader West/East African markets.

  • Strong organizational development experience including workforce planning, succession strategies, and talent management processes.

  • Change management mastery with proven ability to manage complex organizational change initiatives from planning through execution and measurement.

What We Offer

  • A mission-driven environment where your people strategies create real impact across Ghana and globally.

  • Dual Impact opportunity—shape both Ghana's growth trajectory and global people excellence across all M-KOPA markets.

  • Strategic ownership of key people initiatives with significant autonomy and direct access to senior leadership.

  • Global reach and influence across Africa while building deep market expertise in Ghana.

  • Competitive compensation and a values-driven culture rooted in innovation, inclusion, and empowerment.

  • Growth platform to build scalable people solutions in a high-growth fintech environment driving financial inclusion at scale.

If you're ready to drive people excellence, shape organizational culture, and build scalable talent strategies that transform M-KOPA's impact across Africa—we'd love to hear from you.
