Currently we are hiring for an:

Account Manager – East/Central Ontario

The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Business Lead for Eastern Canada to develop and grow our existing business within the territory. Strategic planning and alignment with key customers will be pivotable in this role.


Primary duties will include:

  • Working closely with the Regional Business Lead in executing strategic plans for growth of the WinField United Proprietary brands.
  • The Account Manager is the key contact point for our customers and prospects, both at the management and seller level
  • Working to build and grow retail partner relationships by supporting product demonstrations and field evaluations throughout the year
  • Assisting retail partners/agents in driving CROPLAN and WinField United proprietary product awareness and sales through field tours and meetings.
  • The individual will allocate 80% of their work hours to customer-facing activities, with the remaining 20% in office dedicated to planning, forecasting and reconciliations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture and a minimum of 5 years of agronomic or sales experience with direct customer contact. Individuals with a 2-year diploma in agriculture and extensive industry experience will be considered. Ag retail experience is considered an asset
  • A keen interest in agronomy and a passion to help ag retails succeed
  • Proven ability to interact well with customers, suppliers, employees and management of all levels
  • Ability to effectively work independently in a remote environment, while also maintaining a collaborative virtual team relationship
  • Proven ability to solve and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Daily travel, extended hours and the occasional overnight travel as required.
  • Environment - farm machinery can be loud, fields are dusty and dirty, and weather conditions can vary from hot and humid to cold and wet.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs in bags, climb on and off farm machinery, walk and work in field plots
