Sales Strategy & Execution:

● Design and implement a robust, scalable sales strategy aligned with company growth and production capacity.

● Establish sales targets, territory coverage, pricing strategy, and business development plans.

● Lead and manage all of the company’s sales activities, ensuring accountability through KPIs.

● Identify sales efforts ( within the recycling and different construction sectors and capitalize on new business opportunities to increase sales volume and profitability.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

● Collaborate with Operations teams to align product availability with sales forecasts.

The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, ensuring that supply chain, production, R&D, and safety processes are aligned with company goals and are running efficiently and effectively. This role reports directly to the CEO, playing a critical part in strategic planning, execution, and driving operational excellence across the business while contributing to the company's overall vision and strategic direction.

Supply Chain & Logistics Oversight:

● Oversee and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes including sourcing, procurement, warehousing, and distribution across all Kubik sites.

● Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery of inputs and outputs to and from operational hubs.

● Ensure logistics systems are responsive to regional supply needs and scalable as new locations are added.

Production & Plant Management:

● Supervise all plant activities to ensure consistent production, quality, and efficiency.

● Support the Plant Manager in driving performance across production, maintenance, and quality teams.

● Align plant output with regional supply chain capacity and demand forecasts.

Product Development & R&D Coordination:

● Guide the Product Manager (R&D) in aligning new product development with market and operational needs. ● Ensure R&D outputs are compatible with scale-up across current and future locations.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely execution of accounting tasks, such as payment processing, tax compliance, inventory and asset accounting, payroll management, and audit support. This role ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations, working closely with finance, HR, and operational teams.

1. Payments & Expense Recording

  • Record all payments into the Sage accounting system by category.
  • Ensure proper documentation supports each payment before processing.
  • Monitor and record accruals for recurring expenses.
  • Review supplier payment lists for accuracy and completeness.

2. Payroll Management

  • Collect payroll inputs from HR (benefits, deductions, etc.).
  • Calculate and process monthly salaries per company policy and tax laws.
  • Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salaries to employees’ bank accounts.
  • Submit payroll taxes and pension contributions in accordance with Ethiopian law.

3. Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Review and submit monthly VAT and withholding tax reports.
  • Prepare and submit employee income tax and pension and cost sharing reports via the Ministry of Revenue (MoR) system.
  • Prepare weekly cash spend report

4. Inventory & Fixed Assets

  • Lead and coordinate monthly physical inventory counts.
  • Reconcile inventory balances and update standard costs monthly.
  • Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to validate inventory data.
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register.

5. Revenue Accounting

  • Issue sales receipts in line with contract terms.
  • Record sales transactions and reconcile with receipts.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivable balances from credit customers.

6. Financial Analysis & Reconciliations

  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Review and approve weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct cost build-up analysis for imported items.

7. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of Quarterly budgets.
  • Support in monthly and quarterly cash forecasting.

8. Audit & Compliance

  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain organized documentation to facilitate audits and inspections.
  • Perform any other related tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.
