Solar Engineer - Cote'd Ivoire

The Solar Engineer based in Côte d'Ivoire is the technical reference for distributor partners. He/she handles equipment diagnostics, field support, partner technician training, after-sales ticket follow-up, and spare parts coordination. The goal is to improve installation reliability, reduce resolution times, and increase end-customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities1. Technical Support & Diagnostics• Provide Level 2 technical support to partners (WhatsApp, calls, remote sessions).
• Diagnose faults on Koolboks solar systems: lithium batteries, BMS, solar refrigerators, inverters, and accessories.
• Lead real-time troubleshooting sessions with field technicians.
• Track after-sales tickets (Zoho Desk or equivalent), ensure timely resolution, and produce activity reports.
2. Field Interventions & Training• Carry out field missions for complex interventions, installation audits, and partner support.
• Train and support partner technicians on diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and installation best practices.
• Contribute to the improvement of after-sales procedures and technical documentation updates.
3. Coordination & Continuous Improvement• Coordinate spare parts requests with the Supply Chain team and monitor lead times.
• Analyze recurring issues (BMS behaviour, SOC, battery failures, etc.) and propose sustainable solutions to the Engineering team.
• Prepare partner meeting reports and ensure follow-up on action plans.
• Contribute to After-Sales process improvements (reducing multiple visits, partner buffer stocks, etc.).
Profile Required• Education: Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrotechnics, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in technical support, after-sales, installation, or maintenance of photovoltaic solar systems and/or lithium batteries.
• Technical knowledge: Solid understanding of off-grid PV systems, lithium batteries (BMS), electrical diagnostics, and schematic reading.
• Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Zoho Desk (or similar ticketing tool) is a plus.
• Soft skills: Clear communication, teaching ability, autonomy, problem-solving mindset, and customer orientation.
• Mobility: Based in Côte d'Ivoire. Availability for frequent travel within the country and potentially to other countries in the region.
• Languages: Fluent French required; Good level of English required.
