Your Role
As an Intern Electronics Engineer, you will support the Electronics Engineers in their roles by setting up rigs and running tests under their supervision, documenting test results and any other tasks assigned by the Electronics Engineers in the Electronics department.

What You Will Do

  • Setting up tests on the work bench under instructions from the engineers.
  • Document findings on the tests carried out.
  • Support the Electronics engineers in research tasks.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics/Telecommunication/Mechatronics/Computer & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheet software and document editing software from either Google or Microsoft.

Nice to Have

  • Basic knowledge of prototyping platforms and boards such as Arduino, wiring on a bread board, strip boards and can develop simple firmware using Arduino IDE or other equivalent microcontroller platforms.
  • Should be able to use digital oscilloscopes and digital multimeters in taking readings on a circuit.
  • Should have basic knowledge of analogue and digital electronics and be familiar with digital electronics components (microcontrollers, opamps, transistors, diodes) and serial communication protocols (TWI/I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Proficiency in soldering and reworking circuit boards, including soldering and desoldering through-hole and surface mount components (ICs, discretes, connectors) would be an added advantage.
