Role: Sales representative

Reporting to: Business Development Lead

Position Overview:

The Sales representative will be responsible for generating sales, building and maintaining relationships with customers, ensuring the company’s white meat products (poultry and fish) are successfully marketed and sold, and managing timely debt collections. The role involves handling customer inquiries, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring proper credit management to sustain cash flow and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet sales targets.
  • Drive sales through cold calling, direct marketing, and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain and convert a pipeline of leads into sales.

2. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers (retailers, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, distributors).
  • Develop strategies for cross-selling and upselling to ensure long-term partnerships.

3. Order Management:

  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely order processing and delivery.
  • Assist clients with inventory management and product recommendations.

4. Debt Collection & Credit Management:

  • Follow up with clients to ensure timely invoice payments and manage credit limits.
  • Work with finance to resolve payment disputes and improve debt recovery.

5. Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

  • Track market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, providing feedback for product and pricing strategies.

6. Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare sales performance reports and maintain accurate customer records in CRM**.**

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the food industry (white meat sales, FMCG, or cold chain logistics).
  • Proven experience in managing client accounts, including debt collection and credit management.
  • Experience with B2B sales, especially in retail, HoReCa, and Supermarkets, is highly desirable.
