Consultancy to Conduct a Comprehensive Bibliometric Analysis on Food System Transformation

Background

The food system is an essential bedrock for a thriving economic and social system. However, the increase in population coupled with climate change and environmental degradation has strained the global food system. There is an urgent need for food system transformation that responds to the needs of the growing population and addresses emergent issues such as climate change, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, pollution, and public health inequities. Systematic attention to FST has gone beyond agricultural policy reforms. Consequently, there has been a significant increase in publications on FST over the years, spanning multiple academic disciplines and geographical settings. We propose undertaking a bibliometric analysis of FST. The bibliometric analysis on FST will scour peer-reviewed published manuscripts in English across the globe. The overall research question of this study is to examine the evolution of the research landscape of food system transformation. The bibliometric analysis on FST will be conducted using VOSViewer. Special attention will be given to the evolution of literature on the interconnections of FST, sustainable agricultural practices, agroecology, regenerative agriculture, and biodiversity.
