The Feasibility Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating and assessing potential hydropower project sites. This role will involve overseeing the feasibility analysis, design processes, and cost evaluations for new hydropower generation projects. The Feasibility Coordinator will collaborate with internal teams and external experts to ensure the technical and economic viability of proposed sites.
Additionally, this position will play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and preparing project budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting feasibility studies for renewable energy projects, technical design processes, and financial analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Site Evaluation
• Oversee the successful evaluation of potential hydropower sites, including conducting topographic mapping, flow measurements, power calculations, and cost estimates to assess site quality and suitability for development.
- Feasibility & Design
• Lead feasibility analyses for hydropower projects, incorporating topographic, geological, hydrological, hydraulic, civil design, and electromechanical aspects. Coordinate and manage external experts when required.
- Economic Feasibility Analysis
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Net Present Value (NPV) assessments to evaluate the economic feasibility of projects.
- Project Planning
• Lead the development of detailed plans for hydropower projects, considering water flow, turbine efficiency, power generation capacity, and design optimization.
- Collaboration with Experts
• Work closely with other specialists, including geologists, environmental scientists, and engineers, to ensure comprehensive, safe, and efficient project designs.
6.Licensing & Permits
• Assist in obtaining required authorizations from regulatory bodies, such as the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Environment, and in conducting environmental and social impact assessments.
7.Budget Management
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project cash flows, referencing the bill of quantities and cost estimates for civil works and hydro-mechanical installations.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Site Evaluation
• Expertise in conducting site evaluations for hydropower projects, including the ability to interpret topographic and hydrological data for site suitability. • Experience in operating drones for drone mapping and measurement purposes.

• Strong understanding of hydropower feasibility analysis, including technical, financial, and environmental aspects.
3.Financial and Economic Analysis
• Experience in financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and calculating IRR and NPV to determine project viability.
4.Project Planning and Budgeting
• Proficiency in preparing cost estimates, detailed budgets, and financial plans, ensuring project costs are managed efficiently.
5.Regulatory Knowledge
• Familiarity with obtaining licenses, permits, and conducting environmental and social impact assessments in line with local regulations.
6.Collaboration and Team Management
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants, ensuring all aspects of the project are covered.
7.Attention to Detail
• Ability to produce accurate technical reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders, including project feasibility studies and design specifications.
8.Communication Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders, external experts, and regulatory authorities.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in feasibility studies and project planning for hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on site evaluation, design, and financial analysis.
• Hands on experience in topographic, geological, hydrological, and civil design aspects of hydropower or related projects.
• Experience in financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and economic feasibility studies, including proficiency in tools for IRR and NPV analysis.
• Experience in managing permitting and environmental compliance for large infrastructure projects, including interaction with regulatory agencies.
Working Hours Per Week
