Job Description

Key responsibilities:

General

  • Work closely with the Country Director and other members of the Nigerian Management Team to deliver on country business objectives.

  • Support the optimization of various Husk NG activities to ensure best practices are entrenched towards more efficient processes.

  • Support in driving “Best Practices” across the business. Once a “Best Practice” has been identified, ensure that the practice is visible nationally and to another subsidiary.

  • Support efforts in the training and mentoring of new employees for capacity-building purposes.

  • Understand the priorities of the country operations and support the Country Team when required.

  • Provide requisite support and inputs on building and aligning various company processes and policies according to global best practices.

  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

B2B Partnership Engagement

  • Own partnership identification and mapping efforts towards identifying relevant B2B partners (and other stakeholders) within and outside the industry for structured engagements.

  • Engage with all relevant B2B partners and stakeholders to drive business development efforts.

  • Coordinate external relations efforts with existing and potential partners to strengthen working relationships with these entities.

Strategic Partnerships

  • Lead engagement with private sector players who align to Husk’s business strategy, model and growth trajectory.

  • Drive strategic partnerships - local and foreign - that align with the organization’s overall strategy and objectives.

  • Support Business Development partnership activities with the Heads of other Business Units on areas including engagements with strategic partners.

  • Provide support on various marketing partnerships and market/business positioning strategies in alignment with organization strategic objectives.

  • Liaise with VP - West Africa, Business Development, CMO, Global VPs, Marketing and Sales on possibilities of replicating already existing global strategic partnerships in-country.

Portfolio Growth and Business Support

  • Identify possible portfolio growth opportunities within focus areas.

  • Coordinate with the relevant Teams and external stakeholders on inputs regarding organic and inorganic portfolio growth.

  • Prepare and deliver proposals to internal and partners where suitable opportunities are identified.

  • Support efforts for business communications internally and externally, including project press releases, case study development, and videos.

Funding Submissions

  • Support funding engagement with Country and Global Teams.

  • Drive engagements on funding proposals for expanding B2B and C&I partnerships.

Thought Leadership

  • Drive thought leadership engagements to ensure Husk maintains local visibility as an industry leader within the DER space.

Additional Information

Location and Travel

This role is based in Abuja, Nigeria requires 50% travel in and across Nigeria on a monthly basis. Consideration would be made for being located in Lagos, if required for strategic engagements.

Salary

Negotiable based on fit and alignment to industry and internal benchmarks.
