Job Description

Position Name: Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition

Division / Function: HR & Admin

Location of the Job: Abuja

Reports to: Chief People Officer

Role Summary

Husk is seeking a Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to provide strategic leadership and operational excellence for the Talent Acquisition function in Nigeria, ensuring the timely hiring of top-tier talent across technical, operational, commercial, and leadership roles.

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, will shape recruitment strategies, strengthen employer brand positioning in Nigeria, and ensure sustainable talent pipelines to support Husk’s rapid growth

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Strategy & Planning

  • Lead the design and execution of the national talent acquisition strategy in alignment with business goals and workforce plans.
  • Partner with the CPO and Country Director to ensure hiring priorities are aligned with expansion roadmaps for minigrids, energy services, and corporate functions.
  • Develop yearly manpower plans with functional heads and ensure execution.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality talent pipeline for critical and future roles.

2. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on talent market insights, hiring forecasts, and competitive analysis.
  • Engage cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and HR teams to understand functional needs and deliver tailored hiring solutions.
  • Facilitate interview readiness and capability building for hiring managers.

3. Recruitment Operations Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, assessments, interviews, selection, negotiation, and onboarding coordination.
  • Implement structured hiring frameworks to improve quality-of-hire, reduce bias, and shorten time-to-fill.
  • Ensure ATS usage across all recruitment stages for data accuracy and process transparency.
  • Drive leadership hiring using advanced sourcing and executive search methodologies.

4. Employer Branding & Talent Pipeline Development

  • Build Husk’s employer value proposition in Nigeria through branding campaigns, partnerships, and targeted communication.
  • Strengthen relationships with universities, technical institutes, professional networks, and industry bodies.
  • Lead recruitment events, job fairs, and outreach programs to attract diverse and high-caliber talent.

5. Compliance, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure all hiring practices are compliant with Nigerian labor laws and Husk’s global HR standards.
  • Track recruitment performance, analyze hiring metrics, and recommend enhancements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize hiring efficiency and candidate experience.

6. People Leadership & Capability Development

  • Mentor and guide the Talent Acquisition team, strengthening sourcing, interviewing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, speed, data-driven decision-making, and ethical hiring

  • 3–6 years of HR experience, preferably in Employee Experience, Engagement, Talent Management, or HR Operations.
  • Preferably worked in fast-paced, multi-location environments
  • Exposure to HR analytics, surveys, and dashboards is an advantage

Location and Travel

This role is based in Abuja, Nigeria.

Salary

NGN400,000 to NGN850,000
