Hatch is on the lookout for an Intermediate Piping Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG), to be based in our office in Greenstone Hill, Johannesburg.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Have a good working knowledge of industry and regulatory piping codes and standards which includes pressure equipment regulations for the jurisdiction
  • Be able to prepare design calculations and documentation, reports, material take offs, piping specifications, piping datasheets (material class specification, manual valve and special piping items)
  • Produce design deliverables including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams

You bring to the role:

  • 3+ years Piping Engineering experience with process plant or mining or copper concentration or flotation experience
  • BSc/B.Eng degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Registration as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA
  • Good working knowledge of the applicable codes and standards of ASME
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
