Job Title: CHAINSAW OPERATOR
Job Location: Berekum-Bono Region, Akumadan-Ashanti Region
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary: The chainsaw operator draws on knowledge of tree characteristics, environmental conditions and cutting techniques to control the direction of fall and safely fell trees using a chainsaw in forestry thinning, clear-fell and cross-cutting operations.

Job Responsibilities
- Fell, debranch, top, and cross-cut trees assigned by management.
- Ensure that the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is clean, in good working order, and worn at all times when performing your duties.
- Comply with all prescribed quality and safety standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures to check that the chain and machine’s safety features are in good working order before use.
- Safely maintain the machine and repair the chain and equipment by sharpening, cleaning and lubricating them.
- Report all unsafe acts or conditions to the Felling Supervisor or Harvesting Supervisor.
Eligibility
- Females and males may apply.
- A minimum of a Junior High School (JHS) certificate.
- Physically and mentally fit for the job.
- Be dependable, follow instructions, maintain a positive attitude, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a valid NHIS card and SSNIT number.
