GIS OFFICER
Form Ghana Limited is a Forest Plantation Company that started operating in 2007 and now manages 20,000 hectares of land. Over 12,000 hectares are reforested with teak, indigenous tree plantations and nature conservation areas.
Form Ghana is seeking a skilled GIS Officer to join our team and play a key role in managing spatial data, conducting analysis, and providing geospatial support for Form Ghana Ltd.

Job Type- Full Time
Job Location: Berekum, Bono Region, Ghana
Job Summary:
The GIS Officer will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement GIS solutions that enhance decision-making processes and drive operational efficiencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage overall production of maps and analysis of production data.
- Manage and maintain the company's GIS database systems.
- Internet troubleshooting and regulations.
- Troubleshooting and maintaining weather station equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting computer software.
- Supervise and train plantation workers on GIS.
- Attend/provide routine training.
- Creating and maintaining structures necessary for GIS data storage.
- Collecting and capturing standard GIS data and developing maps for the GIS database.
- Assist in demarcation work in the company's field.
- Developing internet applications to present GIS data and tools.
- Monthly written reports on reported fire incidents, weather information, etc.
- Perform any other duties that will be assigned, not exceeding competence and capacities.
Eligibility requirements:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, environmental science, or a related field
- National Service Certificate
- At least 5 years of working experience in a related field
- Valid National Health Insurance Card.
Key competencies:
- Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Good oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Proficiency in computer literacy including software programmes like Google Earth, Base Camp, ArcGIS and QGIS.
- Knowledge of data collection applications is an added advantage
