1 Job Purpose - Responsible for leading the development and implementation of the organization’s Health, Safety, Security, and Business Continuity Management (BCM) systems. This role champions a proactive safety culture and ensures full compliance with UAE and international standards, including ADOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 22301. The position safeguards personnel, assets, and operations through robust risk management, emergency preparedness, crisis response, and recovery planning. Close coordination with ENGIE and regional stakeholders is essential to align strategies and ensure operational resilience.

| 2 Duties and Responsibilities - Health, Safety
- Lead the HSE team and foster a proactive safety culture across all operations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with UAE and international HSE laws and standards.
- Maintain and continually improve the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned with ISO 45001, and ADOSH-SF.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate HSE risks, opportunities
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Conduct workplace safety audits, inspections, and behavioral safety observations.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of corrective actions.
- Define and monitor leading and lagging HSE performance indicators.
- Prepare and implement the annual HSE improvement plan and training matrix.
- Ensure contractor HSE compliance and conduct periodic contractor audits.
- Oversee the proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Lead the company’s Safety Assurance Program (e.g., safety walks, management tours, assessments).
- Promote a strong HSE culture through initiatives, campaigns, recognition programs, and regular engagements.
- Supervise the Security team and ensure the implementation of security policies.
- Coordinate plant security protocols, access controls, and surveillance systems.
- Ensure alignment with cyber security policies and physical asset protection procedures.
- Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) in accordance with ISO 22301 and NCEMA standards.
- Conduct comprehensive Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Risk Assessments (RA) to identify critical business functions and assess potential operational disruptions.
- Develop and maintain contingency, emergency response, and recovery plans to ensure organizational resilience.
- Plan and execute BCM awareness programs, simulation exercises, emergency drills, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) training sessions.
- Oversee the development and validation of recovery strategies, business impact assessments, risk evaluations, and recovery time objectives (RTOs).
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance reporting to regulatory bodies including DoE, EWEC, ADOSH, EAD, and ALADAA.
- Serve as the primary liaison during external audits and stakeholder engagements related to Health, Safety, Security (HSS) and Business Continuity.
- Manage BCM-related budgeting, performance tracking, and reporting activities.
- Align local BCM practices with ENGIE’s regional business continuity expectations and frameworks.
- Identify HSE & BCM training needs and ensure employees, contractors, and visitors are adequately trained.
- Develop and implement induction and refresher training programs.
- Mentor and develop local nationals within the HSE & BCM function.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead regular HSE/BCM meetings with internal and contractor teams.
- Represent the company in ENGIE regional HSE and BCM forums.
- Lead recognition programs and safety awareness campaigns.
- Support ESG, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives related to HSE.

- Use "Stop Work Authority" to prevent unsafe acts or conditions and encourage others to do the same.
- Ensure team members are trained, certified, and authorized to perform tasks safely and competently.
- Contribute to regular safety audits, fire prevention inspections, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous HSE improvements.
- Foster a cooperative, respectful, and inclusive work environment that reflects the cultural diversity of the company.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and proactive leadership in daily tasks and team responsibilities.
- Support and participate in contractor HSE management, including compliance verification and safety meetings.
- Promote open, honest, and constructive communication within the team and with other departments.
- Adhere to and promote the principles of Business Continuity Management (BCM), including plan development, drills, and process resilience.
- Lead or participate in safety awareness programs such as safety tours, recognition events, and team safety briefings.
- Ensure responsibilities are formally delegated when off-site or on leave.
- Comply fully with the company’s cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Protect sensitive company information, systems, and digital assets from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Immediately report any suspected cybersecurity incident, phishing attempt, or data breach to the IT/Cybersecurity team.
- Use only authorized devices, applications, and cloud services as per IT guidelines.
- Maintain strong passwords and follow secure login practices; avoid sharing credentials.
- Participate in mandatory cybersecurity awareness trainings and periodic refresher courses.
- Exercise caution when handling email attachments, external drives, or unknown network sources.
