MISSION
Responsible for technically guiding the occupational safety system by investigating risks and causes of accidents and analyzing prevention schemes. Propose safety standards and devices, suggest possible modifications to equipment and facilities, and ensure compliance to prevent accidents.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical guidance on the occupational safety system by investigating risks and causes of accidents and analyzing prevention schemes;
- Inspect company sites, facilities, and equipment to identify accident risk factors and/or unsafe working conditions;
- Propose safety standards and devices, suggest possible modifications to equipment and facilities, and ensure compliance to prevent accidents;
- Inspect fire-fighting stations, checking hoses, hydrants, extinguishers, and fire protection equipment;
- Investigate accidents by examining the circumstances of the incident to identify causes and propose appropriate measures;
- Train company employees on safety standards, fire-fighting procedures, and other accident prevention measures;
- Participate in workplace safety meetings, providing relevant data, presenting suggestions, and technically analyzing the feasibility of proposed safety measures to improve the existing system
REQUIREMENTS
- Completed technical education in Occupational Safety (with active registration at the Ministry of Labor – DRT);
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (NRs) and occupational risk prevention practices;
- Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong communication skills, results-oriented mindset, and proactive approach with operational teams
Desirable:
- Ongoing undergraduate studies in Administration, Engineering, Environmental Management, or related fields;
- Experience in corporate health and safety programs, with a focus on organizational culture and continuous improvement;
- Experience with OHS indicators, compliance actions, and active participation in internal or external audits.
