Job Purpose/Mission

The Logistics Manager is key member of our Operations function, you must be attentive to detail, agile, ready to learn, grow and champion our Logistics operataions. He/she must be attentive to cost reduction, efficeiency, in speedy deliveries, knowledge of customs procedure and harmonization codes, cargo & tax classification.

You will interface with forwarders, transport & you will be a leader who leads by example with ethics and integrity are a fundamental character you should have.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Shipping schedules with our suppliers and support teams.
  • Manage relationships with forwarders, transporters and other suppliers to attain high value services at the most optimal cost.
  • Work closely with the Head of operations to proper manage sourcing at the right time in full.
  • Closely monitor export and import procedures including managing documentation respectively.
  • Champion EEA Compliance to regulatory laws and immediately report to the Head of Operations potential risks.
  • Work closely with the Head of operations on order planning both in country and internationally.
  • Manage in-country distribution model to optimal satisfaction including transporter management, cost, safety, driver discipline.
  • Champion Health and safety, ethics standards of EEA.
  • Monitor and manage Logistics cost as per budget requirement.
  • Report generation and use of EEA ERP to effect organizational requirements.

Knowledge and skills

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Previous team management experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process change.
  • Ability to work in a TEAM setting.
  • Experience in working with large distribution channels and internal shipping agents.
  • Familiarity with tax laws and similar regulatory requirements
  • Ability to build and enhance relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Good forecasting and demand analytics.
  • Experience with working in a busy and fast paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant University degree
