Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems in cold storage facilities, warehouses, and food processing plants, adhering to established schedules and procedures.
- Respond to customer service calls and diagnose refrigeration system issues over the phone or on-site.
- Repair and replace faulty refrigeration system components, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and document all work performed.
- Assist senior technicians with complex repairs and installations (as needed).
- Calibrate and adjust refrigeration controls to optimize performance and efficiency.
- May provide basic training or guidance to clients on proper operation and maintenance of their refrigeration systems.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, following all company safety protocols.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in servicing and repairing commercial/industrial refrigeration systems.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration principles, components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, etc.), and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic refrigeration service equipment..
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to work in confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience working within the cold-chain infrastructure industry.
- Proficiency in using refrigeration diagnostic tools and software.
- Experience with brazing and soldering techniques.
