About DIAQNOSTIC DIAQNOSTIC is a digital health analytics service designed to transform environmental exposure data (air pollution, heat, humidity, pressure) into practical maternal and foetal health guidance. Together with our mobile app Mama Air, we provide personalized recommendations for women in polluted and climate-stressed urban and mining areas.

Our team combines expertise in AI, IT, bioinformatics, public health, and environmental sciences to develop an analytical model of human adaptation and resilience, applying a “black-box” approach based on validated global research. We started in the Global South because women and babies in rapidly urbanizing, resource-limited environments are most vulnerable to the combined pressures of climate change, poor air quality, and weak health infrastructure.

Role Purpose As an Environmental Health Scientist with DIAQNOSTIC, you will support the development and refinement of DIAQNOSTIC analytical model, contributing regional expertise and data insights. You will apply advanced methods (including GenAI for research synthesis) to connect environmental exposures with maternal and child health outcomes. Your work will directly inform digital health guidance for mothers and strengthen our international research collaborations.

Key Responsibilities • Review and analyze environmental health and climate health studies relevant to maternal and child health, focusing on air pollution, heat, and other exposures. • Support the design of exposure–response functions within DIAQNOSTIC’s “black-box” analytical model. • Apply data processing and statistical analysis methods to integrate environmental and health datasets. • Use generative AI tools for literature review, synthesis, and evidence mapping. • Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team (bioinformaticians, maternal health specialists, public health experts). • Contribute to scientific outputs: publications, policy briefs, and presentations at conferences. • Provide contextual insights from Sub-Saharan Africa, India, and Pakistan to ensure cultural and epidemiological relevance.

DIAQNOSTIC analytics Qualifications & Skills • Master’s degree or PhD in Environmental Health, Public Health, Epidemiology, Climate Health, or related field. • Proven experience in analyzing air pollution, climate stress, or maternal–child health risks. • Strong skills in data processing (statistical software, R/Python, or similar). • Ability to apply or learn GenAI tools for reviewing, summarizing, and synthesizing scientific evidence. • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals (preferred, not mandatory). • Familiarity with maternal and perinatal health issues in Global South contexts. • Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work in cross-cultural and interdisciplinary teams.

What We Offer • Access to DIAQNOSTIC IP and analytical models. • Flexible part-time engagement, possible alongside primary employment. • Transactional compensation terms (per contribution/output). • Opportunity for cross-disciplinary exchange in an international team. • Support for scientific publications and conference participation. • Inclusive, impact-driven environment addressing climate and maternal health challenges.

How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to apply via the Africa Climate Careers Network portal with: • CV / resume • Short statement of interest (max 500 words) describing your motivation and relevant experience
