This role is financially material and critical to building a controlled, systems-driven supply chain architecture capable of supporting expansion across Lagos and beyond.
2. Business Context
GreenBay operates in a margin-sensitive retail and e-commerce environment involving high unit value inventory, shrinkage and damage exposure, supplier credit pressure, logistics bottlenecks, and demand variability.
The role is required to acquire and evaluate stock, reduce capital lock-in, improve stock turnover, strengthen supplier discipline, build warehouse governance, and stabilise last-mile execution.
3. Role Mandate
The Inventory, Procurement and Fulfilment Manager will own the full physical product lifecycle: Procurement → Inbound Logistics → Warehousing → Inventory Control → Order Fulfilment → Returns Management.
The mandate is to create operational predictability, margin protection, and scalable systems.
4. Key Accountabilities
- Procurement Leadership: Develop supplier sourcing strategy, negotiate pricing and credit terms, build supplier scorecards, and align procurement with financial planning.
- Inventory Governance: Implement forecasting systems, define reorder thresholds, conduct audits, reduce shrinkage, and improve turnover ratios.
- Warehousing Control: Establish receiving and dispatch protocols, optimise warehouse layout, maintain stock traceability, and manage warehouse teams.
- Fulfilment and Logistics: Improve pick-pack accuracy, manage logistics providers, reduce failed deliveries, and structure reverse logistics.
- Financial Protection: Monitor landed costs, protect gross margins, reduce stock ageing exposure, and optimise working capital.

- Secure inventory during pilot

6. Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 6 years in supply chain, inventory, or procurement leadership. Experience in appliance retail, electronics, or e-commerce preferred. Demonstrated Lagos-based operational management experience.
- Strong negotiation capability, financial literacy, forecasting experience, ERP familiarity, and warehouse design exposure.
- Structured, commercially sharp, data-driven, high integrity, and resistant to informal processes.
