About the Delta40 Venture Studio

Delta40 is a Venture Studio headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya and expanding to Nigeria in 2024. Delta40 is reimagining the way we invest in and support the next generation of entrepreneurs across Africa with a unique VC and Venture Studio Model. Our mission is to increase incomes and tackle climate change in Africa by building and investing in climate and livelihood innovations. More specifically, we invest in technology-enabled energy, agriculture, and mobility ventures led by experienced and diverse African and Female Founders. We ideate, launch, and scale new ventures from idea to exit and our venture studio team builds new ventures each year. What makes us unique? To date, Delta40 has worked with world-class partners such as Autodesk, Novo Nordisk, Skoll, Emerson Collective, and commercial investors to build a portfolio of climate ventures operating in 30 countries across the continent. By 2030, we will grow our portfolio and expand our venture studio ecosystem to impact more than 100M lives and catalyze $1B into the fastest-growing market on Planet Earth. We also aspire to build a scalable venture studio model that can be used to increase the speed and scale of venture building in other sectors and geographies in emerging markets.

About the role

Delta40 Venture Studio is looking for an Ecosystem & Events Manager to cultivate and manage our dynamic Delta40 ecosystem and networks. This role involves orchestrating events that enhance community engagement, facilitate knowledge sharing, and create growth opportunities for our portfolio companies.

This position will report to the Nigeria Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

As the Delta40 Venture Studio is new, this role may change as the needs of the organisation change. To begin, this role will have the following responsibilities:

Design, plan, execute, and follow up on Delta40 Ecosystem Events

• Organise and manage quarterly studio team events to keep the team engaged and foster bonding within the team.
• Assist the Program manager with any associated events aimed at providing our EIRs/Ventures and Portfolio companies with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to scale successfully.
• Plan and host exclusive events for our founders to network, share experiences, and gain insights from industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs.
• Coordinate and manage in-person/virtual board meetings, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently and meetings run smoothly.
• Maintain the database of the Delta40 ecosystem and community, ensuring data accuracy and fostering engagement through regular updates and communications.

Global Event Planning

• Organise and execute high-profile dinners and conferences in various global locations to expand Delta40's presence and influence internationally.
• Develop and implement the strategy for Delta40 conferences, including planning side events, nominating and securing speakers, and ensuring the overall success of the events.

Event Partnerships & Sponsors

• Research and identify potential sponsors for Delta40 events, ensuring alignment with our values and goals.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with organisations and individuals who can co-sponsor events, adding value and expanding reach.

Manage Delta40 Studio Space at Amani Gardens

• Plan and organise informal networking lunches every Thursday at the Delta40 office. These Studio lunches aim to bring together ecosystem players to share their needs and leads, fostering synergy and meaningful connections.
• Oversee the planning and design of the Delta40 Studio space to ensure it meets the needs of events and activities, creating an inspiring and functional environment.
• Plan and manage the development of future Delta40 Studio spaces as the organisation expands.

Stakeholder Management Support

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and VIPs, ensuring they have positive and productive experiences with Delta40.
• Create and manage bespoke experiences for stakeholders, showcasing the value and potential of Delta40’s ecosystem.

Additional Support: Provide additional support as needed to ensure the success of various initiatives and activities, working closely with leadership and other team members.
