Project Assistant Intern

POSITION SUMMARY - This position is based in Sinoe, Liberia
The Programme Managers would supervise the BOP interns and work closely with program staff. Their primary responsibility will be supporting CI staff's day-to-day communication operational work. They will assist in other program implementation work, including program assistance functions, such as documenting success stories, developing communication plans, and monitoring the plan's implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Programme Manager in implementing programme activities (partner coordination, field visits, meeting agendas, report writing, and concept notes)
- Critically review and draft field, and quarterly reports, field operations, and reports to the Programme manager
- Document BOP marine ecosystem interventions by drafting documents on mangrove interventions, covering milestones, challenges, improvements, and successes.
- Produce field reflections reflecting on fieldwork and its impact.
- Proactively follows partner, local, and regional events that may impact the programme
- Support and maintain a database in preparing administrative and financial records on cooperative funds in close cooperation with the Programme manager and Finance team
- Assist with enhancing the visibility and communication of the programme
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the programme manager
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Experience in basic Microsoft or computer skills.
- Should be a resident of Sinoe county.
- Flexible to work at most eight hours daily per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Working towards the completion of a Bachelor's degree or a recent graduate (not exceeding 3 months post-graduation) in environmental science, project management, political science, social science, or any other related studies.
- Proficiency in MS Office and web researching skills.
- Have excellent organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team, prioritize, manage, and complete tasks before deadlines.
- Ability to mainstream DEI and safeguards in day-to-day work.
- Has a minimum of 2.5 GPA
