CFM currently manages two emerging market infrastructure funds focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation: Climate Investor One, a c. USD 1 billion fund focused on renewable energy, and Climate Investor Two, a c. USD 1 billion fund focused on water, sanitation and oceans infrastructure. CFM is currently implementing further blended finance initiatives in the green hydrogen, power transmission and cities sectors focused on development, equity, private credit and guarantee financial instruments.

Established in 2015, CFM is a joint venture between the Dutch Development Bank, FMO, and Sanlam InfraWorks, part of the Sanlam Group of South Africa with offices in The Hague, Cape Town, Singapore, Bogota, and Namibia.

Exceptional opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a top private equity firm as their Senior Risk Analyst. The ideal candidate will have current enterprise-wide risk management experience within asset management or broader financial services along with at least 5 - 8 years' experience. Role reports to their Regulatory and Risk Manager but works closely with the various executives and Head of Assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with risk processes (reporting & optimization, assessment, management, identification) for the business including IT risk analysis,
  • identify and assess risk to IT applications
  • Enhancing and embedding best practice risk methodologies
  • Identify solutions to reduce risks and address control
  • Understand risks and issues the business may face and put controls in place
  • Make practical recommendations to improve system control and procedures
  • Review risk incidents include root cause analysis, rectification assessment, suggest and test design suitability of improvements
  • Manage risk assessments
  • Educate staff on risk awareness
  • Advise on risk management practices and concerns
  • Stay on top of worldwide best practice and regulations
  • Liaise with Internal Audit and Compliance Functions, provide assurance assessment of risk management

Requirements

  • Honours degree in Commerce, Information Systems, or Risk Management or CA(SA) or have a similar qualification
  • Have 4 - 6 years enterprise-wide risk management experience or strong internal audit experience at an asset manager or financial services provider
  • Strong analytical, investigative problem solving and assessment skills
