The Clean Air Fund supports organisations around the world working to combat outdoor air pollution, improve human health, and accelerate decarbonisation. We bring together governments, campaigners, researchers and funders to find and scale solutions that will provide clean air for all. Air pollution is a clear and urgent danger to public health. Outdoor air pollution is responsible for 4.2 million deaths worldwide – more than from malaria and HIV/AIDS combined. More than ninety per cent of the world’s population lives in areas that exceed World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines for ambient air quality. Children born in areas of high air pollution are likely to have several years taken off their life expectancy.
