About the role
BURN is seeking a Durability Operator to join our team in Mozambique. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining stove durability testing programs, ensuring accurate fuel refilling, strict adherence to safety protocols, and proper documentation of all activities.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and operational integrity at the durability site. This position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and proactive risk management to support BURN’s mission of delivering world-class, energy-efficient cookstoves.
Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet the stove cycling guidelines, ensuring a high refilling accuracy and high integrity program health.
- Adherence to high standards of cleanliness and organisation in and around the durability site.
- Ensure proper fuel preparation with the guidelines provided.
- Always ensure proper disposal of ash from the program managing the fire risk associated with the hot ash.
- Adherence to all safety protocols.
- Keep records of durability program occurrences and incident documents updated.
- Ensure communication of incidents is done promptly.
- Build excellent teamwork and productivity with the durability team members and the organisation at large.
- Identify risk for both fire and safety proactively and raise the mitigation processes.
