Automation and AI Innovation Lead

BURN is looking for an Automation and AI Innovation Lead will will lead the organisation’s efforts to identify, develop, and implement solutions that leverage both AI and RPA technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise workflows, enhance decision-making, and ensure the effective adoption of AI-driven and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Strategy and Implementation:
- Develop and execute an AI adoption roadmap, prioritising use cases that deliver high business impact.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to implement AI/ML models that address specific organisational challenges
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI models, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and compliance with ethical standards.
Process Analysis and Automation Design:
- Partner with department leads to identify high-impact opportunities for automation and AI integration.
- Develop detailed process documentation, including process maps, automation workflows, and technical specifications.
- Design and build process automation solutions using platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
Implementation and Deployment:
- Configure, test, and deploy process automation bots and AI-driven solutions to automate repetitive tasks and improve process efficiency.
- Ensure that deployed solutions are robust, secure, and scalable.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and data pipelines.
Monitoring and Optimisation:
- Monitor the performance of AI models and process automation bots, addressing any issues or errors that arise.
- Continuously optimise and enhance solutions to improve performance and adapt to changing business needs.
- Maintain an innovation pipeline to prioritise and manage new AI and process automation initiatives.
Governance and Compliance:
- Establish best practices and governance frameworks for AI and process automation deployment and usage.
- Ensure that all solutions adhere to organisational policies and compliance requirements.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to teams using or impacted by AI and automation solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for AI and automation-related questions and troubleshooting.
Innovation and Research:
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI and process automation technologies and identify tools or frameworks that can enhance the organisation’s capabilities.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to test and validate new technologies.
Skills and Experience:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing automation solutions, including RPA and AI-driven applications.
- Hands-on experience with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism) and AI platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, OpenAI, AWS AI).
- Proven ability to deliver measurable results through process automation and AI.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for customisation and AI model deployment.
- Strong understanding of APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts, including supervised/unsupervised learning and NLP.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology initiatives to business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
