About the Role:

BURN is looking for a Software Quality Analyst, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective quality assurance processes and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning - Collaborate with development and product teams to create comprehensive test plans that align with project requirements.
  • Test Case Design and Execution - Design, develop, and execute test cases to verify software functionality, performance, reliability, and compatibility.
  • Defect Identification and Tracking - Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug-tracking system. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Regression Testing - Conduct regression testing to validate that software changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.
  • Automated Testing - Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and test coverage.
  • Performance Testing - Perform performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications.
  • Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements.
  • Quality Metrics and Reporting - Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the QA team.

Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Software Quality Analyst or similar role.
    • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
    • Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
    • Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
    • Knowledge of performance testing and familiarity with tools like JMeter.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
