Junior Digital Marketing Officer - Tanzania

The Digital Marketing Officer will be a key member of the Marketing team, responsible for being proactive in leading, developing and executing digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and generate leads. This role will focus heavily on social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram to reach and engage our target audience, with a strong emphasis on influencer marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute engaging social media campaigns across TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Create high-quality visual content (images, videos) for social media platforms, including capturing footage of trade activations and other marketing events.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance, track key metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, conversions), and generate insightful reports.
- Respond to social media comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Create engaging short-form video content for social and other platforms.
- Develop compelling captions and hashtags for social media posts.
- Stay updated on social media trends and best practices.
- Develop and manage influencer marketing campaigns, including briefings, content guidelines, and performance tracking.
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers to foster long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate contracts and manage influencer payments.
- Track and analyze the performance of influencer campaigns, measuring key metrics such as reach, engagement, increase in customer care enquiries, sales uplift and all key ROI metrics.
- Engage with followers and build a strong online community.
- Identify and collaborate with relevant online communities and forums.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in digital marketing roles with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, and time-management skills.
- A passion for achieving results and exceeding expectations.
- Strong understanding of social media marketing best practices and algorithms.
- Proficiency in graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and draw insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SEO/SEM and other digital marketing channels.
- Data analysis and reporting skills (e.g., Facebook Analytics)
