Title: Senior Business Intelligence Developer
Reports to: Lead Data Architect
Location: Group Bboxx HQ - Kigali, Rwanda

Role Brief:
Data is at the core in how business decisions are made and treated as the most valued asset to equip our business with the information they need to best service our partners and customers. Our Business Intelligence suite is a visualization engine that drives analytics on complex datasets.
We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to act as a trusted hands-on technical advisor and leader for Portfolio & Credit business units.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changes; developing/implementing processes and solutions following the principles of agile development that enables the organization to convert data into knowledge. The role will give the opportunity to work with developers in a global team on architecture, design, direction, strategy, and implementation in a hands-on manner.
What you can expect to be doing:
Design quality dashboards that are visually impactful and informative
Set policies, standards and best practices for the Bboxx Business intelligence (BI) Reporting suite
Perform code reviews to ensure high quality and that standards are being met.
Collaborates with project leads, product owners, and end users to design and implement project and solutions
Lead complex reporting and analytics projects, including managing stakeholders and timelines.
Work with engineering teams to investigate system performance and data quality
What we are looking for:
3+ years of development experience with Microsoft PowerBi, or similar
Solid foundation in SQL and have experience in handling complex script.
3+ years of experience working with enterprise data warehouse environment
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to self-direct and work in a cross-functional team environment
Bonus experience if you have it:
Experience with Redshift
Familiar with data visualization best practices
Experience with Portfolio/Credit management monitoring and reporting
Familiar Agile Development
skilled level ETL knowledge and hands on experience
