BasiGo seeks to work with experienced professionals who are excited to help us realize our vision of clean, electric public transit in Africa. BasiGo Rwanda is looking for a dynamic, organized and detail-oriented Stock Clerk to manage all of the operations in our storeroom. In this position, you'll play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of our parts, stock, tools, and equipment; including ordering, receiving, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of BasiGo’s spares, tools, and equipment inventory.
- Receive and unpack materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and parts. Verify items against packing lists, invoices, and purchase orders; report any discrepancies, damages, or defects.
- Maintain and organize all inventory-related documentation, ensuring records are complete, accurate, and easily accessible.
- Support the procurement team to ensure that the requisition of materials and supplies are done within the stipulated limits in line with established limits
- Label and store incoming stock in designated locations, or arrange for appropriate internal delivery.
- Issue stock items based on authorized requisitions using BasiGo’s computerized inventory management system
- Support with the management of capital items stored in the store through identification and tagging
- Perform regular (daily or scheduled) cycle counts of inventory; reconcile physical counts with system records and report variances.
- Maintain cooperative, effective, and professional working relationships with BasiGo service personnel, engineers, and other staff.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of BasiGo’s spares, tools, and equipments
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations and safe working practices relevant to the role.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as may be assigned.
Our ideal candidate would have:
- Minimum Advanced A2 certificate in finance,business management or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment
- Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management
- Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
- Strong team player who is ready to collaborate and achieve the best result for the team!
- Experience working with an ERP system is a bonus.
- Able to work flexible hours (night shift work is a must)
