WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Duties will include the following:
- Plan, manage, and coordinate product development trial programs in line with technical and regulatory requirements
- Develop trial protocols and ensure trials are conducted according to Good Agricultural Practice and internal guidelines
- Identify, contract, and manage external researchers and trial sites across relevant agro-climatic regions
- Monitor trial execution to ensure data quality, protocol compliance, and timely delivery of results
- Review and validate trial data and research reports to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Manage trial budgets, contractor invoices, and project-related documentation
- Analyze trial results and prepare technical reports, presentations, and project summaries
- Maintain trial management databases and ensure accurate data capture and record keeping
- Support product registration activities through the compilation of technical documentation and project summaries
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and support to internal stakeholders
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Degree in Agriculture or a related field; extensive relevant agricultural research experience may be considered
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural product development, including planning, implementing, and managing field trials and agricultural research projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with crops grown in the Central and Northern regions of South Africa
- Proven experience working with external researchers, trial contractors, and growers
- Experience interacting with farmers and understanding commercial agricultural practices
- Knowledge of Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) and experimental design principles
- Experience with ARM, SPEAD, or similar agricultural trial management systems is advantageous
- Strong analytical, project management, reporting, and presentation skills
