The Field Technical Service Manager, Autofroth is a member of the Autofroth business Leadership Team within the Polyurethanes Systems business. In this role, you will lead a team of field technical service representatives with direct authority and budget responsibility, and collaborate closely with Autofroth sales, marketing, and parts and equipment professionals to drive business for Autofroth applications.

- Applying strong leadership skills to guide, inspire and develop the field technical service team by providing direction, support, and clear expectations.
- Shaping team priorities based on business goals and customer needs, helping team members stay focused, organized, and effective in their daily work.
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners at all organizational levels.
- Ensuring high-quality technical experiences for customers by using sound judgment, applying chemistry and processing knowledge, solving problems quickly, addressing issues or conflicts, and confidently making technical decisions for the business.
- Leveraging strong technical and analytical capabilities to own, develop, and share specialized technical service expertise—including PLC and control systems and customer tank and piping configurations.
- Championing innovation by gathering and translating customer insights to contribute to the continuous improvement of product and service offerings, leading and coordinating launches of new technologies, and seeking new markets and applications for Autofroth® offerings.
- Building a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the Autofroth® business, including supply chain and operations, to ensure seamless customer support and alignment within the business and supporting functions
If you have...
- High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 5+ years experience in customer-facing roles.
- A commitment to travel extensively (75%+), including overnight travel.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills to manage people with direct authority.
- Knowledge of polyurethane processing and equipment, polyurethane systems knowledge and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical inclination for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to workplace safety, ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) and ISO standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, and web-based platforms.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $115,000 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
