WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Do you want to contribute to better agricultural solutions by delivering reliable trial results and supporting a collaborative team? This role offers the chance to make a real impact on how we develop and refine our products.

  • In this role you will be responsible for completing an allocation of R&D agronomic trials according to protocol, GEP and EPPO requirements.
  • You will collaborate closely with a local grower, on farm, to establish a trials base to store equipment and act as a centre of operation within your region. You will establish links with local farmers, grower bodies and agronomists within region to enable access to other suitable trial sites.
  • You will promote high standards of Environment, Health & Safety within in your region. You will ensure regional bases, facilities and processes comply with BASF EH&S requirements and you will implement ongoing improvements as required.
  • You will provide supervision and day to day support of temporary undergraduate Assistant Technical Agronomists.
  • You will be responsible for specific activities to aid effective the running of the R&D Operations function: including Calibration, vehicle maintenance, fire alarm checks, undergraduate temporary recruitment.
  • You will build strong relationships with the BASF Sales team to support market development activities in your region.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • Degree in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, or equivalent, in addition to 3+ years of hands-on trials experience.
  • NPTC Certificate of Competence in the use of Pesticides (PA1 and PA6).
  • Strong organisation, planning, and communication skills.
  • BASIS certification with ongoing CPD to maintain professional registration.
  • Solid IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word and ARM trial management software.

Please note: A valid UK driver’s licence is essential for this position.

Location: Home-based (ideally located Yorkshire / North Lincs) with frequent national travel. A company car will be provided.
