Main Responsibilities:
The Financial Accountant will be an integral member of BASF’s Finance team reporting to the Accounting Manager. The incumbent will be exposed to daily accounting activities under general ledger activities, treasury as well as fixed assets management.
** This position is on contractor basis.

Key Tasks / Roles & Responsibilities:

• General Ledger:
• • Handling the financial data such as accruals, prepayments, GL postings into ledgers and prepare required reports.
  • Handling the posting activities of the company’s utilities & insurances
  • Handling the personnel related expenses
• Treasury:
• • Handle relationships with operating banks.
  • Managing daily operations with the banks, monitoring the implementation of cash transactions recordings on SAP, and performing periodical bank reconciliations
  • Responsible for payment runs and company’s corporate credit card scheme.
• Fixed Assets Management:
• • Managing the additions and disposals of FA and maintaining its register
  • Maintaining, evaluating, and handling postings of the Leasing contracts on monthly basis.
• Supporting and acting as the back-up of the AP Accountant when necessary

Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/ Finance
• 0-2 years of experience in Accounting
• Good working knowledge on general accounting principles, reporting, month end closing and treasury activities.
• SAP experience is a must.
• Very good English skills
• Good communication skills
