We are looking for a Sr. Account Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team.
This is a remote role located in the US. The ideal candidate should be located near a major airport, due to the extensive travel required.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will develop, plan, and execute sales initiatives for strategic accounts to start, maintain, and grow business over time. You will build long-term relationships with international or national customers in alignment with the Marketing and Sales (M&S) strategy within BASF Vegetable Seeds to achieve profitability and partnership. Your role will focus on creating value-added relationships that extend beyond genetics, involving discussions and execution of Key Customer plans that offer solutions. You will also manage connections to retail and the Controlled Environment Agriculture ecosystem, ensuring that our concepts are promoted professionally.

- Planning, reviewing, adapting, and executing the annual sales plan for assigned accounts.
- Establishing new relationships with target customers.
- Delivering on sales targets and key performance indicators to support the annual Basic Plan.
- Representing the company with value-based proposals that address customer needs and foster long-term partnerships.
- Following up on proposals by setting up trials and evaluating results with customers.
- Managing customer teams to provide solutions, improve processes, and enhance the customer experience with Nunhems.
- Managing connections with top retailers in the region.
- Providing insights on market trends, pricing, and consumer needs to inform strategy plans.
- Collaborating with crop teams to implement marketing and business plans.
- Working with internal stakeholders to evaluate varietal performance and new introductions.
If you...
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree, required. Agriculture or related field of study, preferred
- Possess 4 or more years of sales experience.
- Have well-rounded knowledge of the vegetable seed business.
- Have project management experience, preferred
- Demonstrate strong agronomic skills, preferably in Controlled Environment Agriculture.
- Exhibit advanced consultative selling skills, including negotiation and closing sales plans.
- Possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit combined with the ability to influence decisions of people with different backgrounds and functions.
- Have language skills in English (required), with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Have leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor the team while providing positive and constructive feedback.
- Ability to travel 50-75%, domestically and internationally

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive base pay range for this role is $89,600 - $123,200. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
