For our entity in Morocco, we are looking for a Business Developement Specialist Performance Materials _Foam NWA to join our sales team.

The position will be based in Tangier, Morocco.

Role Summary :

    • Customer Account management across designated industries/ applications
    • Identify sales opportunities in designated geographies and industries.
    • Hunting for new business opportunities in designated geography
    • Provide basic PU technical support to local customers and assist the marketing and technical team understanding customer needs.
    • Update and manage customer documents & contracts using designated digital tools.
    • Drives relationship management with customers (all levels, all functions)

    • Service functions- Order Management, Supply chain, CRM team, Legal Department
    • Commercial team, Marketing & Communications team
    • Technical Development, Technical Service
    • Product management team
    • Segment marketing team

External

    • PM customers, potential customers, Distributors
    • Industry bodies and associations

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities:

  • Leverage relationships with industry bodies and government- departments for promoting PM’s product and service offering
  • Assume responsibility acting as a first point of contact for BASF PM in designated industries.
  • Take ownership of all business aspects of assigned customers ensuring all customers and activities are documented on provided platforms such as- Salesforce, LIVE, etc.
  • Lead Sales and pricing negotiations within areas of responsibility
  • Manage the order to cash process for all customers of responsibility.
  • Handle customer complaints and coordinate solutions with affected operational and/or functional units
  • Drive relationship Management (All levels and functions)
  • Collect relevant market Intelligence and report on market trends
  • Report with an acceptable level of technical proficiency
  • Accurate and on-time reporting (e.g., monthly report, visit reports, forecast, market data, opportunity pipeline, etc.)
  • Participate in Commercial exchange meetings on a European level.
  • Manage relationships both internally and externally for the good of the business.
  • Coordinate and communicate relevant commercial matter directly with Head of Sales including opportunities for X-BU selling.
  • Develop business plans and execution strategies for targeted opportunities.
  • Developing and managing pipeline projects identified for future sales.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify new business opportunities for business growth.
  • Adhere to and comply with all BASF guidelines and procedures
  • Actively represent BASF Group interests and act as a role model with regards to Compliance and Code of conduct, ensure adherence to legal regulations and the company’s internal guidelines as well CORE values and principles
  • Participate in industry events and expos to help build relationships and identify new opportunities, risks, and emerging trends for the company.

Self-development

• Achieve annual sales revenue, volume, and margin targets as per the sales plan.

• Grow the business within the targeted industries by achieving Business Development Targets.

• Establish and maintain a well-established project pipeline required for future sales growth.

• Embrace and meaningfully contribute to PM growth plans

• Satisfactorily act as Regional Coordinator for assigned industries.

• Demonstrate pro-active planning of customer projects with tools provided, including documentation of customer updates and visits- Sales Force

• Contribute actively to Monthly & quarterly business meetings and Industry Reports

• Demonstrate behaviour according to the Global Competencies agreed below

Qualification & Experience :

Tertiary qualification in relevant field (Engineering, Chemistry degree, Marketing or similar degree).

• At least 5 years’ experience in related field

• Strong communication skills in English and French.

• Driver’s License (Obligatory).

• Willingness and ability to travel Locally and Internationally

Efficient ‘farming’ capabilities for maintaining existing or established business.
