The position will be based in Tangier, Morocco.
Functional / Operational tasks:
- Responsible for the Performance Materials Engineering Plastics business in North-West Africa acting as a First point of contact for BASF
- Develop our business with existing customers
- Hunt for new business and customers
- Collect relevant market Intelligence and trends as well as customer needs
- Leads pricing negotiations
- Drives relationship Management (All Levels and functions)
- Supports customer homologations and technical visits.
- Follow-up and tracking of customer technical projects
- Close contact with all Relevant Key Accounts
Other Tasks:
- Reporting activities
- Applies Best Sales Practices
Interaction with others:
- Internally: Marketing, Technical Development, Technical Service, Commercial Management, BU Management, Order management and Planning, Legal Department, Customer service, Credit Risk Management, Quality, Product management
- Externally: All local assigned customers, Suppliers, Associations and other Stakeholders.
What we expect:
Education: Education & training required
plus additional time-extensive job-related training including formal examination (e.g. PhD, BS - MS, MBA)
- University Degree in life sciences, alternatively Mechanical or Industrial Engineering,
- + A master degree in Economics, Marketing or Business Administration.
Working Experience:
- Breadth/depth of experience required
- Experience working with similar systems in a similar business environment
- At least 7 years of Sales and Technical service experience in Engineering Plastics Industry.
Industry and/or Country specific requirements:
- Location: Tangier
- Sales Meetings in North Africa and/or Europe
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- Account Management
- Hunting / Business development
- Engineering Plastics
- Customer orientation and entrepreneurial drive
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Team oriented and willing to interact in multicultural teams
IT skills:
- Office knowledge
Language skills (level):
- Arabic (mother Language)
- French (mother Language)
- English (fluent)
