As Lead Service Specialist AMO you will ensure that safe and reliable AMO is delivered to global AMO organization in a cost effective and efficient manner without harm to people or the environment. Our Repair and Maintenance team provides high-quality service for maintaining equipment in accordance with operating specifications and maintenance strategies:
As Lead Service Specialist AMO, you will be responsible for
Daily
- Attend all morning meetings for (OPS Demands, Shipping Times, TB Alerts, HSE Alerts, TPI’s, etc.), pull in delegate(s) as required
- Be the primary link between OPS and the Workshop.
- Ensure all OPS Demands/Alerts are documented per eMtJC and posted in the workshops to drive production as dictated via Shipping Times
- Elevate any Inventory needs/shortages up immediately that may impact AMO’s ability to meet OPS Demands on-time and operate the workshop most efficiently
- Ensure full compliance to PPE & QTP at all times for all products (including any 3rd Party & Field folks if working in shop)
- Ensure all daily checklist per eMtJC completed and filed.
- Ensure Tool Box talks are facilitated each morning by AMO Leads (if applicable) and that all content is effective and sign in sheets completed and filed (including any 3rd Party & Field folks if working in shop)
- Ensure daily cleaning and preventive maintenance is being carried out on all equipment in the workshop/yard and maintain records.
- Ensure facility is clean and organized at all times; report any issues up to Facilities and follow-up to ensure timely completion. Elevate if needed
- Spend most of the day in the workshop/yard to ensure all AMO expectations are being met; HSE & Quality, Production Output, SAP/MaPS Entry, Efficiency (OT) and Core Values. (including Field folks if working in shop today)
- Meet frequently with each AMO lead/supervisor (if applicable) to ensure time is being effectively managed; priorities are being met, OPS is updated on all needs/timing and any other long term & short term goals being worked on, etc
- Ensure all equipment being shipped to the Job Site, 3rd Party site or internal transfer is done safely, accurately, on-time and properly secured
- Submit any needs to Procurement and/or approve Shop Supplies for one-off items or items not already in the Grainger or equivalent vending machines
Weekly
- Facilitate weekly Hazard Hunts across workshop and yard; document and ensure all actions closed out timely
- Review all HSE & QA observations and follow-up on all assigned to AMO for closure; provide feedback to employees on observations that are submitted to make sure learnings are implemented
- Review, manage and approve all time sheets, vacation requests and expenses for AMO
- Review all open/pending Technical Bulletin Alerts applicable and ensure these are scheduled within Production Schedules to close out and maintain >80% implementation for your respective workshops
- Meet with QA/QC/ENG and help to resolve any issues or give input where needed to drive favorable SD results
- Meet with 3rd Party Inspectors to ensure all priorities/expectations are being met and inspection areas are being kept clean and organized
Monthly
- Review AMO’s monthly production performance and KPI’s to see if any adjustments required to better meet and exceed all expectations for next month. Elevate any issues immediately to Geo SD Leader/PL AMO Leader for support driving favorable results forward
- Ensure all required KPI data is uploaded to global database for inclusion in the Global AMO Dashboard
- Ensure the monthly HSE “Blue Box” reviews are being completed with support from local HSE
- Ensure “AMO Interactive Monitor” information is all up to date for current period (if applicable)
- Review and support employees with AMO career progression. Communicate any opportunities to local HR/Geo SD Leader/PL AMO Leader for support driving favorable results forward
- Ensure the proper Shop Supplies are being ordered consistently on items for workshops and manage usage to prevent abuse/unnecessary waste
- Review CMP status for all AMO employees, determine if any gaps and make immediate plans to close out. Elevate any support needed immediately to local Geo SD Leader/PL AMO Leader for support driving favorable results forward
- Review 3rd Party (Inspection & Machine Shop) pricing and service levels to ensure they meet AMO Production needs and AMO Cost efficiencies. Communicate any opportunities to Procurement/ Geo SD Leader/PL AMO Leader for support driving favorable results forward
- Focus on keeping the shop best organized utilizing 6S & Lean principles, reach out for any assistance needed to Geo SD Leader and PL AMO Leader
- Ensure consistency & fairness across entire workshop (daily start/stop times, PPE/Uniforms, lunch/breaks, hand tooling, specialty tooling needs, equipment, time, pay, vacation, discipline, processes, procedures, MaPS, etc.) Reach out to local Geo SD Leader/PL AMO Leader for support driving favorable results forward
- Supporting other locations (such as Chad) as per operation needs by travelling and remote.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Have 5+ years of experience with Assembly, Maintenance, and Overhaul operation. Previous experience with BH tools would be an advantage
- Have experience with WBI operation.
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership and analytical skills.
- Have knowledge of AMO processes and procedure and their implementation is required.
- Be self-contained, self-motivated, and demonstrated leadership skills to lead a small to medium AMO Team and shop operation.
- Speak fluent English
