The role of the ETO Product Engineer is to evaluate the customer’s order and develop the necessary engineering data in support of the HPump system requirements. Key aspects for this role include the evaluation of the application, the proper selection of materials and equipment, and the subsequent development of all engineering drawings and the bill of materials necessary to support the HPump fabrication.
As an ETO Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating pump applications to ensure compatibility with fluids and pressures
- Developing engineering drawings and bill of materials in support of Engineer to Order (ETO) product designs
- Provide support to cross functional team members regarding the technical aspect pertaining to the HPump equipment
- Conducting engineering calculations and run simulations to ensure safe applications of HPump equipment
- Working with field technicians on applications of new technologies
- Troubleshooting equipment and participating in Failure Analysis teams
- Working with vendors and customers to resolve HPump related issues
- Providing technical documentation to support HPump product
- Seeking out and implementing methods to reduce cost and improve product
- Aiding in the development of designs for HPump orders
- Tracking project milestones and deliverables and participating in various agency audits
- Establishing and maintaining professional communications with customers
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Engineering position
- Extensive experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software
- Experience with 3D FEA simulation software and associated engineering calculations
- Proficiency in multiple MS Office applications
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
Desired Characteristics:
- Familiarization with Engineer to Order processes
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Prior work experience with HPump manufacturing and rotating equipment a plus
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
