Waygate Technologies is a part of the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) segment of Baker Hughes, an industry leader in non-destructive testing (NDT) for industrial inspection.

Reporting directly to the Global Quality Leader for Inspection and operationally to the General Manager of our Ultrasound business, the Global Quality Leader, Ultrasound shall be based at our Nové Mestonad Váhom, Slovakia or Hürth, Germany site.In short, Global Quality Leader will be responsible & accountable for leading the quality programs, improving processes, procedures, and operating performance across the Ultrasound business.

Further responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

  • Owning, managing, and monitoring quality related programs and activities as required, covering all processes within the sites.
  • Leading process improvement and Lean project initiatives internally & as required work with external vendors on process improvement initiatives.
  • Creating effective communication with other functional areas. Influencing peers to meet the objectives.
  • Driving quick and effective closure of any assigned CIRs (Customer Issue Resolution), Audit Findings, RCAs/NCAs, and CAPA (Corrective and Prevention Action) cases.
  • Driving customer interventions, developing Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and initiate/drive corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPAs) within the sites.
  • Owning the site's Quality Management System (QMS) and documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions covering all processes whilst looking to simplify the way we work and increase collaboration.
  • Working with the customers to gain real-time “Voice of Customer.” Implementing "Net Promoter Score" mentality and driving improvements in customer satisfaction.
  • Focusing and driving projects to reduce Cost of Quality (COQ).
  • Providing all necessary QA support including provision of standardized and effective quality documentation to support the ITO/OTR processes.
  • Ensure operational quality QA/QC is upheld & drive zero defect culture.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Management.
  • Communication fluency in English (communication in German desirable).
  • Proven record of accomplishment of delivering cost and/or productivity savings in a complex environment.
  • Experience of managing direct and virtual teams
  • Excellent organizational and Project management skills.
  • Ability to use business systems for data extraction and metrics.
  • Record of accomplishment of cycle time/turnaround time reduction applying simplification, Lean, VSM (Value Stream Map), methodologies and concepts with Facilitation of Kaizen Events approach to problem solving. Ability to educate teams with new concepts and methodologies.
  • Results driven, deadline orientated leader with passion, drive, and energy with ability to influence without authority in a multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment.
  • Have experience in implementing Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100).
  • Have Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Demonstrated Self-Starter, self-driven role model as team leader working collaboratively with peers with excellent communication, influential and interpersonal skills.
