YOUR ROLE
As a Metrology Lab Engineer on our team, you’ll coordinate assigned technicians, assimilating and assigning tasks (calibration, verification, capability studies, MSA) requests to assure those will be performed according to requirements and results will be delivered on time.
In your daily job you will:
- Update and maintain the calibration system ( Gagetrack) integrity
- Organize the external calibration for testing and measurement instruments
- Assign, schedule and supervise all request for work delivered to the laboratory. (Layout, scans, studies and other)
- Comply with EOS system apply to the laboratory.
- Provide support to all laboratory areas (Senior)
- Provide continuous improvement and update training to all Lab technicians
- Ensure all equipment referenced in the existing control plans are under good service conditions and calibration status is still valid
- Develops and maintains daily/weekly on job performance for all subordinates
- Ensure accomplish MSA Study for measurement and test equipment
- Understanding of engineering drawings and blueprints standards and critical dimensions, references, tolerances, detail views, and revision level interpretation.
- Notify to the involved team customer requirements if is necessary, for requests that are not clear.
- Ensure housekeeping/safety standards
- Notify involved team results of the equipment out of calibration. Lost and damage equipment found in the plant as well as its availability.
- Authorized to analyze/review/approve test data/reports
- Provide safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Completed bachelor's degree
- +2 years of experience in laboratory environments
- Conversational English
- Previous experience with audits
- Knowledge of MSA, Minitab, and capability analysis (Cp, Cpk)
- Experience conducting Gage R&R studies
- Previous experience managing direct reports
- GageTrak Software
- Compliance with ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards
