Position summary:

The role requires overseeing the entire plant's operations, focusing on industrialization, automation, team leadership, and operational performance. The Plant Manager will be responsible for driving the efficient production of new and existing products, utilizing lean methodologies and Industry 4.0 tools to maintain competitiveness in a high-cost country. This leader will also manage the site's operational and legal responsibilities, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Your role:

This is a key leadership role requiring a strategic mindset and hands-on management. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead industrialization and ramp-up of new products while managing high-volume production.
  • Drive automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives to maintain competitiveness.
  • Provide strong leadership across production, quality, logistics, and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Manage site operations as the legal representative, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the execution of lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Your background :

  • Background in Engineering with a proven experience in a leadership role with the automotive field for at least 10 years
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and engage high-performing teams, fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong background in managing large-scale production or manufacturing operations, ideally within the automotive sector (Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers or OEMs).
  • Lean & Industry 4.0: Experience with lean manufacturing initiatives and Industry 4.0 projects, driving innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong focus on operational and financial performance, with the ability to manage resources efficiently and make data-driven decisions.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to lead in dynamic environments and manage diverse challenges, including industrial relations and union negotiations.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential; fluency in French is highly preferred to effectively manage social and labor relations on-site.

Experience in specific manufacturing processes such as molding, assembly, and stamping is advantageous, but candidates from different automotive backgrounds preferably with strong leadership capabilities are also encouraged to apply. This is a key leadership role requiring strategic vision, hands-on management, and the ability to drive results.
