Job Description

The intern will support activities across IT and get exposure to various key IT activities. Interns that successfully complete the program will be considered for Aptiv's IT Graduate Rotational Development Program. Join us in 2024 to start your Aptiv journey in an exciting internship!

Your Role

Business Analyst

  • Participate in internal customer/business partner-facing requirements gathering and documentation
  • Exploration of business problems and challenges through business partner meetings
  • Investigation of technology enablers to close existing capability gaps across the business (e.g. global application tracking system)
  • Development of business cases to support the investment in technology
  • Support in the development of proposals, supplier evaluations and assessment of tools and supplier capabilities

PM Analyst

  • Assist in project coordination (status reporting, scheduling, and coordinating project meetings)
  • Evaluate and monitor project progress
  • Create, manage and distribute project reports
  • Review and report on project budget tracking and financial forecasting
  • Support PM in maintaining compliance with Aptiv standards for project management

Operations Analyst

  • Support IT Incident Management – when “something’s broken,” work with suppliers to resolve IT incidents and close tickets in a timely manner, process escalations, provide status updates and monitor progress
  • Support IT Problem Management – work with suppliers to expedite the resolution of Priority 1 and Priority 2 major incidents, participate in root cause analysis to ensure mitigation of future risk
  • Support IT Change Management – work with business partners to understand their operations, participate in Change Review Board meetings to communicate IT projects and their potential effects to various stakeholders, mitigate risks associated with IT changes
  • Establish and maintain communication with business and IT stakeholders on incidents, status reviews, root cause analysis, approvals, and follow-up actions
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts through constructive feedback and identification of process improvements

Your Background

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate-level degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or a related field
  • Currently on track for a 2:1 or higher at degree level
  • Basic business acumen
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (excel, word, ppt.)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong analytical skills (critical thinking)
  • Work independently / self-directed
